After writing my 'Sleepy J' post this is a lovely message to hear from Jeffrey R. Holland. The other day I got so overwhelmed that maybe I wasn't doing a good enough job. I thought 'what if I don't do enough and my children don't want to be around me when they are grown?'. That is one of my big fears. I feel much comfort in Elder Holland's words of encouragement.
After having a pretty rotten day with my 4 year old and 2 year old, my husband away for the weekend with work, I watched the video tonight and now I'm in tears.
My 29 month old hasn't slept through the night since she was born and is a very busy little person, needless to say I am constantly exhausted.
The video put into perspective the gift I've been given, two healthy, intellegent beautiful children that already know the love of Jesus and are in a very happy, safe home. What a gift to be giving back. I'm not a Mormon, but Christ is my saviour.
Dear Jodie, Sleep deprivation is an awful thing to endure and I am sorry for your struggles. I hope it will pass soon. Thank you for taking the time to let me know your feelings about the video. I'm glad that we are connected by our faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to be good mums. Its raining where we are and the boys are itching to get out. I hope the rain stops soon.
